Recta Satin is a custom-made roller shade that catches the light instead of blocking it. The Recta fascia has a geometric profile, a clean line that matches square window frames. Its sheer fabric, Satin, with glossy yarns and an open weave, makes the shade a good fit for kitchens, living rooms and rooms that get little light.

Lets in the most light, and you can see in from outside: 30% to 49% of visible light depending on the color, the highest of all our fabrics.
Fascia and bottom rail in the same powder-coated aluminum alloy: solid metal, in six colors.
Glossy yarns mixed with matte ones: when light hits the fabric, only the glossy yarns light up, creating a play of lines. Order fabric samples.
Can be motorized: the motor recharges via USB-C and is controlled by remote or voice assistant.

Finishes and design

Luminous as silk

Satin takes its name from satin weave, and borrows its sheen: the weave mixes glossy yarns with matte ones, and when light hits them only the glossy ones catch it, tracing a play of lines.

The weave is also more open than the others, which is the second reason the fabric looks so bright: light passes through. From 30% to 49% depending on the color, the highest value in our indoor range.

The four colors recall polished metals. And because the weave is open, you can see through the fabric: in the evening, with the lights on, nighttime privacy drops to 0 on three of the four colors.

The fabrics and brackets are chosen by Centro Stile Maanta, our in-house style office in Italy: the fabrics one by one, with weaves that give the room character while staying easy to match, and the brackets to suit the fabrics. Six finishes, three for warm tones and three for cool, so fabric and bracket arrive already coordinated.

WARNING – CHILD SAFETY: The chain poses a potential strangulation hazard to children. Keep the chain out of reach of children. Do not place cribs, beds or furniture near the shade: children could climb up and reach the chain. Do not knot the chain. Install and use the safety devices supplied (chain tensioner and safety hooks) correctly, following the instructions. The chain tensioner must be fastened to the wall with slight tension. The chain must stay at least 59" above the floor.

Indoor. It's designed for windows, French doors and glass walls in homes, studios and offices.

It doesn't: it's the fabric that lets through the most light, 30% to 49% of visible light depending on the color. It covers the glass and keeps the room bright. For darkness, there are the Blend Blackout and Canvas Blackout fabrics; for softer, more subdued light, the light-filtering fabrics Horizon, Earth and Fine Line.

The size of the shade and how you choose to operate it. Our design service is free and helps you decide both.

Satin has an open weave, and under the EN 14501 standard it rates 0 out of 4 for nighttime privacy in three of its four colors: with the lights on, people outside can see in. If privacy matters to you, take a look at the light-filtering fabrics Horizon and Earth, or the blackout fabrics.

Satin: 100% polyester, 4.1 oz/yd² fabric weight and about 1/64" thick. It's the lightest of our indoor fabrics.

The amount of light and privacy. A sheer fabric like Satin lets through 30% to 49% of visible light and doesn't hide the room in the evening. A light-filtering fabric like Horizon stays between 19% and 44% and rates 2 out of 4 for nighttime privacy, while Earth goes down to 6%. The plate, sizes and motor stay the same.

Not much: Satin reflects 34% to 44% of solar energy depending on the color, and it's the fabric that lets the most through. If summer heat is a problem for you, take a look at Earth, which reaches 49%, or a blackout fabric, which reaches 75%.

It's the standard that rates how a shade performs on a scale from 0 to 4. Satin scores 3 or 4 for daylight utilization depending on the color, and it's the only one of our fabrics to reach 4. On the other hand, it scores 0 for glare control and 0 or 1 for nighttime privacy.
