4. Warranty
4.1 Limited Warranty
All products are sold by Maanta Corp, 18 Bridge Street Unit 2A, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Unless otherwise specified in the product's technical specifications, the warranty period is two (2) years.
All Maanta Corp products are covered by a 2-year statutory warranty that protects against defects in materials or workmanship not caused by misuse.
If an issue arises, customers may submit a claim by filling out the contact form on our website, selecting “Claim” as the reason, and attaching the required documentation (description, photos, and proof of purchase).
Customers are responsible for inspecting products upon delivery and reporting any anomalies within two months of discovery.
The warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, improper installation, normal wear and tear, or unauthorized modifications.
IMPORTANT: This warranty is valid only if the product is used correctly and in accordance with the installation and usage instructions. Installation requirements may vary based on ground conditions, anchoring points, local wind exposure, and other factors.
With this warranty, Maanta Corp guarantees that all newly manufactured products (shade sails, poles, wall mounts, and base plates) conform to the specifications listed in the product description at the time of delivery. A defect is considered present only if the product's quality or usability is significantly compromised.
This warranty excludes any defects or damage caused by improper use or failure to follow installation and maintenance guidelines. Normal wear is not covered. Additionally, products that have been altered, repaired, or no longer retain their original condition at the time of sale are not eligible.
Please refer to the warranty exclusions below for detailed information on product characteristics that are not considered defects, as well as the installation conditions required to maintain warranty coverage.
If the claim is deemed valid, Maanta Corp will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product within a reasonable timeframe.
This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from the following circumstances:
a. Weather conditions and acts of God:
- Damage caused by strong winds, storms, hurricanes, hail, snow, lightning, or other extreme weather events.
- Tears, warping, or structural failure resulting from adverse weather conditions.
- Damage caused by water pooling on surfaces that are not adequately sloped for proper drainage.
IMPORTANT (for all products installed or exposed outdoors):
Do not leave products unattended during inclement weather. In the event of strong winds, heavy rain, hail, or similar conditions, you must take down or properly secure the product to avoid damage. Failure to do so voids the warranty.
Special notice for shade sails:
Shade sails must always be installed with proper tension and an adequate slope to ensure water runoff and prevent water accumulation. Installation without sufficient slope or incorrect tensioning may lead to deformation, damage, or structural failure of the sail, which is not covered by the warranty.
b. Improper use, negligence, and incorrect installation:
- Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, abuse, or use for unintended purposes.
- Incorrect installation or failure to follow the provided instructions.
- Structural or functional damage caused by improper mounting of supports, anchors, or accessories.
- Damage due to unauthorized modifications, repairs, or additions without prior written approval.
- Malfunctions or defects caused by poor maintenance or failure to follow maintenance instructions.
c. Accidental damage and third-party causes:
- Defects or damage caused by accidents or third parties.
- Damage resulting from theft, loss, or exposure to external hazards unrelated to product quality (e.g., barbecues, fireplaces, ovens, power cables, irrigation systems, plants, etc.).
- Damage from direct heat, sparks, or embers from open flames.
d. Aesthetic aspects, wear and natural material behavior:
- Normal wear from sun exposure, weather, and prolonged use.
- Superficial scratches, discoloration, or surface corrosion on metal or fabric parts that do not affect performance.
- Creases, ripples, micro-perforations, abrasion marks, or visual alterations that do not impact product functionality.
- Changes in chemical composition, color shifts, or fading due to UV exposure or environmental conditions.
e. Damage from chemicals or excessive stress:
- Damage caused by exposure to chemicals (including chlorine) or contact with aggressive substances.
- Damage from over-tensioning, mechanical abrasion, or exposure to open flames.
f. Limitations of liability:
- Indirect or consequential damages of any kind, including personal injury, damage to buildings, or surrounding property.
- The warranty does not cover any removal, reinstallation, or labor costs for replacement parts or products.
- Any claims beyond those expressly covered by this warranty are excluded.
Warranty Limitations
Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability
All warranties and conditions (whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise) related to the Product or its supply are expressly disclaimed. Maanta Corp shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by any person (including the purchaser of the Product) in any way connected to or arising from the Product or its use (including losses or damages resulting from Maanta Corp’s negligence or attributable to it). If Maanta Corp’s liability for breach of warranty, condition, or any statutory obligation that cannot be excluded can be limited, then Maanta Corp’s liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Where multiple limitation options exist, Maanta Corp will choose, at its sole discretion, how the limitation is applied.
The company shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, special, liquidated, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of revenue, profits, use, or goodwill, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, arising from a breach of this warranty or in connection with the sale, installation, maintenance, use, operation, or repair of any product or service. Under no circumstances shall the company’s liability exceed the purchase price of the product or service provided.
Important Note
The color of our fabrics may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
The actual measurements of shade sails may differ from the specified dimensions. Sails are measured from D-ring to D-ring and, unless otherwise noted, have a concave shape (curved inward). Proper installation with adequate tension is essential for both appearance and performance, so minor differences in measurements are not a defect.
4.2 Safety Warnings and Installation Instructions
Shade sails must be securely installed and evenly tensioned to reduce wind load on the fabric.
Loose or poorly tensioned fabric can lead to premature wear or damage.
Soft or sagging fabric may malfunction and cause future failure.
These issues are not caused by UV rays and are not covered by the warranty.
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure proper tension.
While all Maanta Corp structures are tested for weather resistance, we do not recommend or guarantee the use of sails in wind conditions exceeding the specified limits (see product specs).
The warranty is valid only if the product is properly anchored using a suitable and secure system.
We do not cover damages caused by ground contact, external objects, extreme weather, or other acts of God.
We strongly recommend removing the sail when not in use.
The warranty only covers safe, sensible use in accordance with the usage guidelines.
Mounting systems must be selected based on wall structure and securely installed.
Maanta Corp products must be used with weather conditions in mind. In windy conditions, extra caution is required.
We do not recommend or guarantee the use of sails during strong winds or above the rated limits.
The sail should be taken down when left unsupervised.
The warranty does not cover damages caused by:
- Wind
- Fire
- Theft
- Vandalism
- Misuse
4.3 Installation Considerations
- Space and anchoring points available
- Size and shape of the sail
- Strength of existing structures
- Sun direction and angle
- Feasibility of using fixing poles
- Distance from grills, ovens, power/telephone lines, irrigation systems, plants, etc.
Other site-specific considerations may apply.
Shade sails should not be left flapping or moving freely, to avoid fabric damage.
They should not be used for climbing, walking, as hammocks, trampolines, or for any purpose other than sun or rain protection.
Maanta Corp shade sails are designed to provide UV protection and outdoor comfort.
Proper tension and anchoring are essential for safety and product longevity.
Inspect regularly. Exposure to chemicals such as chlorine can damage the fabric.
Before using any chemicals nearby, please contact Maanta Corp’s technical support.
Do not light fires under or near the sail.
Temporarily remove the sail in case of thunderstorms, high winds, or snow.
Sails must always be removed if they cannot be protected from sudden storms.
Because wind speeds can vary and gusts may be severe, we always recommend removing waterproof sails during unpredictable conditions.
The warranty is valid only if the user does not alter the tensioning systems or any system components.
The customer is responsible for the design, permits, engineering, and/or construction of the installation site.
Any damage caused by improper installation (including but not limited to: design flaws, missing permits, faulty construction, or unsuitable materials) is excluded from warranty coverage.
