Shade sails
Elicro is the motorized sail patio umbrella in waterproof fabric, entirely made in Italy: it opens in 60 seconds, rotates 360°, and closes on its own when wind exceeds the threshold. Enjoy an afternoon by the pool or dinner on the patio, with shade that follows the sun. Thanks to the integrated solar panel, there are no cables to run and you can place it wherever you want.

Elicro eliminates the first concern that comes to mind when choosing a motorised umbrella: finding a power outlet. It runs on sunlight and you can place it wherever you like, in the middle of the garden or in the furthest corner of the terrace, and from there it opens, closes and recharges autonomously. So the only thing you need to do is choose where to sit.

A shade sail umbrella designed specifically for terraces, lighter by design at 440 lbs, so the flooring can support it without any issues.
A calibrated spring keeps the fabric perfectly taut at all times, and the constant tension protects it from tearing.
The motor and mechanics are tested over 10,000 opening and closing cycles — approximately thirteen seasons of daily use.
Treated fabric that repels rain and blocks the sun: UPF 50+, water column 15 3/4", Oeko-Tex certified.
Unlock, rotate the structure toward the sun and lock again: twelve positions every 30°, in just a few seconds.
Withstands winds up to 15 mph and closes automatically thanks to the included anemometer.
We designed it in-house, in our Research and Development department, so that beneath the shade sail there remains all the space for the table, chairs and everyone who moves around.
And behind that clean, essential line are the hands of those who build it in our workshop, one at a time — the way you do things you truly care about.

We will help you find a trusted professional in your area, at no additional cost.
Mid-size patio (20–23 ft per side) and a tight budget: go with the 12×12 ft. Irregular space or architectural constraints: choose the trapezoidal version 13×12 ft. Large backyard or pool area where you want to cover 8–10 people: go with the 13×13 ft. For every configuration, you need about 3 ft of clear space beyond the diagonal of the shade sail, plus a free rotation radius of at least 11–13 ft around the center pole.
Yes, with the ballasted base. The weight of the system falls within the limits of a standard load-bearing slab that meets building code requirements, making it suitable for apartment terraces as well.
No. Elicro is classified as mobile and removable outdoor furniture, not as a permanent structure. No building permits are required. If you live in a condominium or shared property, we recommend informing the property manager and checking the internal regulations. In areas with landscape or zoning restrictions, it is advisable to check with your local authority.
Only the floor anchor base is included. The ballast base is available for purchase separately. Ballast weights are not included (4× 20"×20" slabs = 176 lbs total), required only if you choose the ballasted base.
The 5W/18V solar panel recharges the built-in 5.2Ah lithium battery. With a fully charged battery, you get ~10–12 complete open/close cycles. Summer: 2–3 sunny days are enough for a full recharge. Winter or cloudy days: use the USB-C connector for direct charging. No need to connect any fixed wiring to your electrical system.
With the shade sail open, the structural limit is ~12–15 mph (Beaufort Scale 3, gentle to moderate breeze). The anemometer is factory-set at 9 mph to trigger automatic closure before reaching the structural limit. With the shade sail closed, the structure withstands Beaufort Scale 3–4, up to ~30–37 mph. The anemometer is a helpful safety tool, but we still recommend keeping an eye on the weather forecast.
CTR stands for Constant Tension Release. It is the system that keeps the line tension constant throughout the entire opening and closing travel — not just when the shade sail is fully open. A spring calibrated at 25 lbs and a jam-free POM winding shaft work in perfect sync. The result: the fabric does not flutter or go slack during movement, eliminating a common flaw found in all competing products.
Yes, by purchasing the optional WiFi Bridge. Through the app, you can open, close, schedule timers, and receive notifications. Compatible with Alexa and Google Home. Without the WiFi Bridge, the included radio remote control works up to 65 feet in open areas.
The fabric has a water column rating of 15 3/4 inches and is treated to be waterproof. However, Elicro is not a fixed rain shelter: during heavy or persistent rain, we recommend closing the shade sail to avoid overloading the structure. In case of a storm, always close it before the heavy rain hits.
No. Elicro requires at least 2 people for installation. Some steps (lifting the joint ~66 lbs, inserting the winding shaft) are not safe to carry out alone. Difficulty: 2.5/5. No specialized electrical or mechanical skills required – just good hands-on ability, a set of hex keys, two ladders, and about 4 hours.
The floor-mounted base is included in the price and requires 4 holes drilled into the ground with M12 injection mortar anchors: it is more stable, less bulky, and keeps the height at 7' 10". The ballast base is not included and requires no drilling: ideal for renters or anyone who wants flexibility, but it takes up 43" × 43" of space and requires 4 ballast slabs, sold separately. In both cases, the hardware is included in the package.
Rotation is manual: turn the stainless steel pin 90° to unlock, rotate the entire frame in the desired direction, then lock it back in place. You have 12 positions available, one every 30°, covering a full 360° rotation. It’s not automated, but it only takes a few seconds.
No, it's not required. Elicro can stay installed year-round within its operating limits (14°F / 122°F). However, winter removal is recommended in areas with harsh or very windy winters: in just 20 minutes, 2 people can remove the winding shaft and the fabric and store them safely, extending the fabric's lifespan from 5 to 7 years. A protective storage bag is also available.
Close your shade sail immediately. Elicro is not designed to support the weight of snow: leaving it open risks damaging the winding shaft and the arms. Never open the shade sail if snow has accumulated on the structure.
The Purishade® fabric is warranted for 4 years against material defects, stitching failures, and abnormal fading. The frame, motor, and electrical components are covered by a 2-year legal warranty. The warranty does not cover damage caused by severe weather, installation errors, or failure to perform routine maintenance.
Yes. The warranty is valid even with a DIY installation, as long as you carefully follow the provided instructions. Damage caused by installation errors is not covered. If you're not sure, we recommend our professional installation service.
The warranty starts from the date of purchase, as indicated on the invoice. No product registration is required.
