Each accessory serves a specific purpose: keeping the parasol steady, moving it easily, lighting up the evening, covering it when not in use. Compatibility is stated on every product.

Parasol bases

Choosing the right base depends on three variables: the weight of the parasol, the surface it rests on and how often it is moved.

  • For centre-pole parasols on residential terraces, steel bases with integrated wheels are the most practical solution: they can be moved without dismantling anything and can be progressively weighted with additional weights.
  • For cantilever parasols you need bases with a high counterweight, designed to withstand the asymmetric pull of the lateral arm.
  • Those who prefer to have nothing visible on the ground can opt for a fixed anchoring system: concrete, wood or fully recessed underground, depending on the flooring and type of installation.

Additional weights for parasols

When a base is already in place but not sufficient, additional weights avoid the need to replace it. They stack directly onto the existing base: each model has its compatible weight, increasing stability without changing the footprint on the ground.

Particularly useful in areas exposed to wind or when a second parasol is added to the same space.

Parasol lights

No cables, no installation required. Maanta LED lights attach to the pole via clip or magnetic system, and recharge via USB.

  • The clip version has three fixed brightness levels and is the most straightforward choice for those who want a light always ready to use.
  • The magnetic version adds a continuous dimmer to adjust the brightness to suit the moment: aperitivo, dinner, after dinner.

Protective covers for parasols

A protective cover extends the life of the parasol by reducing exposure to UV rays, rain and dust during periods of non-use. It is not just a matter of end of season: covering the parasol during weekly breaks keeps the fabric in better condition and the frame cleaner over time.

Each cover is shaped to fit a specific model: centre pole, cantilever arm, Duo and Qadro configurations, to adapt to the closed geometry without leaving any parts exposed.

FAQ

How do I choose the right base for my umbrella?

It depends on the umbrella type and the surface. For center pole umbrellas on patios, a steel base with wheels is the most practical choice. For cantilever umbrellas, you need a base with a high counterweight, designed to handle the asymmetric load of the arm. If you don't want anything visible on the ground, fixed anchors eliminate both the base and the ballast.

How much ballast does a cantilever umbrella need?

At least 220 lbs. The fillable Cantilever base and the 4-in-1 are sized for this. In wind-exposed areas, a fixed anchor is the safest choice.

Water or sand for fillable bases?

Sand weighs more at the same volume and is the better choice for maximum stability. Water is easier to manage, but needs to be drained before winter freezes.

Can I stack multiple extra weights on the same base?

Yes, the weights stack progressively. Each model is compatible with the matching base: round on the round base, square on the square base.

Are the LED lights compatible with all umbrellas?

No. The clip light and the magnetic light are compatible with Klika and Lybra. Auriga and Hydrus already have LEDs integrated into the ribs as standard.

Do I need to drain the fillable base in winter?

If filled with water, yes — freezing can damage the structure. If filled with sand, you can leave it as is, as long as it's in a sheltered spot.
