Recta Blend Blackout is a custom-made roller shade that blocks light completely. The Recta fascia has a geometric profile, a clean line that matches square window frames. Its blackout fabric, Blend, has an irregular bark-like pattern that makes the shade a good fit for bedrooms, kids' rooms and media rooms.

A completely dark room: Blend Blackout fabric has 0% light transmission.
Fascia and bottom rail in the same powder-coated aluminum alloy: solid metal, in six colors.
Bark-textured fabric: a matte base with threads that catch the light. Five colors, order fabric samples.
Can be motorized: the motor recharges via USB-C and is controlled by remote or voice assistant.

Darkness does not depend on colour

Our blackout fabrics are double-sided textiles. The front features a decorative face, where the Blend weave runs shiny filaments over a matte background, in an irregular pattern reminiscent of tree bark.

On the back we chose a white layer rather than black, because it reflects more of the heat that reaches the glass, keeping the room cooler than a dark backing would.

It is the two layers together that block the light, not the colour — which is why all five shades have a 0% light transmittance.

Every shade is made by us: we cut the fabric to the measurements you provide, mount it on the winding shaft and fit the bottom rail, in our workshop in Italy.

The fabrics and mounting plates are selected by the Maanta Style Centre: each fabric individually, with weaves that add character to the room while remaining easy to coordinate, and the plates chosen to complement the fabrics. Six finishes — three for warm tones and three for cool ones — so that fabric and plate are always perfectly coordinated.

Do not place cots, beds or furniture near the shade: children could climb and reach the chain. Do not tie knots in the chain. Correctly install and use the safety devices provided (chain tensioner and safety hooks), following the instructions. The chain tensioner must be fixed to the wall with slight tension. The chain must remain at least 59" from the floor.

The fabric has 0% light transmission: no light passes through the shade itself. A sliver of light can still come in along the sides, and that depends on how you install the shade: the wider the bracket plate compared to the opening, the less light you'll see.

No. Blend Blackout has 0% light transmission across all five colors: it's the fabric's structure that blocks the light, so Seashell Ivory gives you the same darkness as Granite Grey.
