The M10 threaded rods secure the wall plate: they anchor deep with injection mortar and hold their grip while the sail works above you. It depends on where you install it. Galvanized finish works well for most outdoor installations; AISI 304 stainless steel offers higher corrosion resistance and is the better choice in areas with higher humidity or prolonged exposure to the elements.
To attach Maanta shade sail wall plates to the wall – the point where the sail releases its tension.
Compatible with all Maanta wall plates designed for anchoring shade sails.
No: for pole bases and wall collars, you need the larger M10 bar, the M12 x 13 cm. These M10 bars are designed specifically for wall plates.
The set includes 4 bars: use one for each fixing hole on the plate. For multiple plates, simply add more sets.
Galvanized steel protects against corrosion through a zinc coating; AISI 304 stainless steel resists thanks to its alloy composition and performs better in environments with higher humidity and intense exposure. The choice comes down to long-term outdoor performance, not size — which is identical.
It offers higher corrosion resistance than galvanized steel, but AISI 304 is not a marine-grade stainless steel like AISI 316. In highly saline environments, it holds up well with periodic inspections and occasional rinsing with fresh water.
Diameter M10, length 4 3/4", standard right-hand thread: they use common M10 nuts and washers.
The holding strength depends primarily on the injection mortar used and the type of substrate. The stainless steel rods have a minimum breaking load of 600 N/mm².
Drill into the wall, blow out the dust, inject the injection mortar, and insert the rod by rotating it, leaving enough protruding for the plate. Wait for it to cure, then place the plate and secure it with a washer and nut.
Solid masonry and concrete. For hollow or crumbling surfaces, such as hollow bricks, use a mesh anchor sleeve with injection mortar.

Occasionally check the tightening of nuts and washers. For the stainless steel version in humid areas or near the ocean, a rinse with fresh water removes salt deposits and extends their lifespan.
