The project we support

We believe in Bambini delle Fate.

Bambini delle Fate is a social enterprise that, since 2005, thanks to regular support from businesses and shops, has been promoting and running local inclusion projects for young people with autism and other disabilities, and for their families.

“Don’t keep me out of the world, I feel and see beyond.”

Andrea Antonello

How it started

“When a severe disability enters a family, it is like an earthquake. Except that this one lasts a lifetime. You don’t know what to do and nobody helps you.” With these words Franco Antonello describes daily life alongside his son Andrea.

Having seen at first hand the world of disability and the gaps in care that families face every day, he decided to put what he knew how to do at the service of society: his experience as an entrepreneur, in a practical and organized way. In 2005 he founded Bambini delle Fate.

Since then the social enterprise has focused solely on building regular support: across Italy, groups of supporters stand by the inclusion projects of non-profit organizations over time.

How it works

Bambini delle Fate connects businesses with active projects in their own area: a company “adopts locally” an inclusion program and supports it over time with a monthly contribution. The support does not end up in a distant account: it stays where the company works.

Local adoption

The company supports a project in its own area: the resources stay close, where the families involved live.

Long-term projects

The programs are followed and supervised by the social enterprise, which ensures their continuity over time instead of funding one-off actions.

Transparency

Each supporting company receives updates from the local coordinators several times a year; names, data and project results are published regularly.

Tax deductibility

Contributions qualify for the tax benefits provided in Italy for donations to non-profit organizations.

Why we do it

Because continuity is what makes these projects possible: a support worker who stands by a young person has to be paid every month. A one-off contribution does not allow a social enterprise to hire staff or make commitments to families; regular support does. That is why we chose ongoing support rather than one-off sponsorship.

Because since 2020 our bylaws have required part of the value we generate to go back to the area where we operate.

Because it can be verified: the project we support has a name, the social enterprise reports on how the support received is used, and the results are public.
