Maanta and UPS Shipment Program

Maanta believes in a more sustainable future and does so to the very end, at all stages of its production chain. In 2020 it obtains SB certification, becoming to all intents and purposes a Benefit Corporation, a corporate qualification awarded to companies with a long-term positive impact on society and the environment.

Committed to constant activities and integrated solutions to implement its social and biosphere support, Maanta weaves links with projects and partners that work together for the same common goal. 

And it is through the UPS Carbon Neutral Shipment program that Maanta is committed to offsetting the carbon emissions released into the environment and thus the climate impact of its shipments by implementing natural carbon sinks such as soil and forests.

HOW THE CO2 COMPENSATION PROJECT WORKS

The program requires UPS to quantify the carbon footprint of each shipment made by Maanta, which then covers the increased rate at no additional shipping cost to the customer on all e-commerce purchases; the price difference covered by Maanta is reinvested to plant trees to mitigate the carbon footprint of the shipment itself. 

UPS's carbon neutral shipping method are continuously audited by The Carbon Neutral Company and the appropriate Societé Générale de Surveillance (SGS).
