Each Maanta shade sail pole includes the following accessories:
- A heavy-duty 3/8" thick (10 mm) thick steel ground base (or wall collars)
- A stainless steel Muscle Pole kit for anchoring and tensioning
- All necessary hardware and screws for assembly (excluding threaded rods for ground or wall anchoring)
The tensile strength of the sail. A shade sail—especially a large one—can exert a force of around 99–110 lbs. A proper anchoring system must withstand not only this constant tension, but also external factors like wind and rain. By contrast, many poles sold on popular marketplaces may be inexpensive, but they’re also weak. With just a few centimeters in diameter, it becomes nearly impossible to tension the sail properly. This compromises not only the outcome of your project, but also the safety of the entire structure.
Maanta shade sail poles are highly functional. Thanks to our technology, we’ve developed poles that allow you to tilt the sails according to your needs.
Alu Simple, our premium heavy-duty aluminum pole, features two tracks for multi-sail anchoring. The Ulisse galvanized steel pole offers six anchor points. This allows you to create shade at any time of day—even when the sun is low on the horizon. And especially for waterproof shade sails, a proper tilt is essential to drain rainwater and provide protection from the elements!
The difference between the 75° and 90° poles is mainly aesthetic. However, it’s worth noting that a 75° inclined pole allows you to reclaim the space needed to tension the sail properly. This means a 75° pole lets the sail cover a larger area compared to a 90° pole, as it can be positioned closer to the base of the pole.
Wall-mounting a pole is only possible if there’s at least 12" of space between the two collars. Therefore, the wall or ledge where the pole will be installed must be at least 18"–20" high.
The highest resistance to salt air is offered by the Alu Simple powder-coated aluminum shade sail poles, a material that makes them immune to rust and marine elements. Also excellent is the EZ Mast in stainless steel, ideal for installations in coastal or particularly humid environments.
Alu Simple is available in three versions: with a 90° base, a 75° inclined base, or with wall-mount collars.
No, Maanta poles are available exclusively in standard sizes: 114" for Alu Simple and 108" for Ulisse. However, the Alu Simple model can be extended up to 153" using the Alu Simple Extension, which allows you to increase the pole's height for better sail inclination and improved water runoff management.
We strongly advise against this operation, but if you choose to proceed, we cannot guarantee the outcome. In particular, with galvanized poles, removing the protective zinc coating would compromise their resistance—leading to rust formation.

J'ai contrebalancé la force exercée en fixant une accroche à l'opposé des voiles. J'ai concu un bloc béton pour positionner le mat en terre. Le matériel est d'une résistance et d'une qualité très satisfaisante. Le prix se justifie par la qualité du produit. Les accessoires achetés sont de la même qualité. Un premier oeilleton à vis serait le bienvenu avec le mat. I live in Florida on the bay and we have some strong winds sometimes and we have not encounter any issues or problems, of course I take the sail down when really strong winds are forecast and with the pulley system it is a breeze to put up and take down sail, can do in a couple of minutes, the sail is awesome and works as advertised. The customer service is top notch, and you can always speak to someone (real person) that has a depth of knowledge and can assist in all matters pertaining to their great product, I will definitely be doing business with these great people again. Il montaggio è semplice (la parte più lunga è la realizzazione dei plinti): esteticamente sono molto gradevoli. Sono anche molto funzionali e ottima è la possibilità di regolare l'altezza di fissaggio della vela facilmente. Es wurde mit der ersten Lieferung ein falsches Modell geliefert 2.) Bei der nachfolgenden Lieferung hatte der Mast diverse Makel, den ich wider reklamieren musste. Pour fixer la partie haute et la partie basse du mat, il faut les visser à une troisième partie qui unit l'ensemble. Pour le premier mat, il manquait tous les accessoires car le carton n'est pas très epais et les transporteurs ne sont pas soigneux. Du coup, le carton s'est légèrement ouvert, et je pense que les accessoires sont sortis. Mais le service après ventre est très réactif et à tout de suite envoyé ce qu'il manquait. Verified reviewBonjour, La fabrication de ce mat est de très bonne qualité, la platine d'ancrage est très robuste. Le réglage en continu est une très bonne idée. Par contre il faudrait modifier les coupes sur la rallonge de 50 cm et sur le mat. Si les coupes aux 2 extrémités étaient toutes inclinées à 75°, il serait possible de choisir d'installer le mat avec ou sans sa rallonge. Ce n'est pas possible avec une coupe droite sur la rallonge et sur le mat, on est obligé de mettre la rallonge même si l'on n'en a pas besoin. D'autre part l’emballage est trop léger et c'est ma 2° commande de mat et dans les 2 cas le carton est arrivé très abîmé, re-scotché et quand même ouvert, (j’ai des photos de l’emballage à votre disposition). Verified reviewDie bestellten beiden Masten mit Wandhalterung kamen innerhalb von 4 Tagen aus Italien. UPS hatte die Ware bereits für Montag angekündigt, diese dann aber erst am Dienstag angeliefert. Es handelt sich um sehr stabile Masten und um jeweils 4 Wandhalterungen aus ebenfalls sehr gutem Material. Leider war bei einem Mast die untere Bohrung nicht gefertigt und musste dann nachgearbeitet werden. Ansonsten würde ich 5 Sterne geben. Sehr zu empfehlen und jederzeit gerne wieder. Verified reviewLivraison : Livraison depuis l'Italie rapide, en revanche qq pb locaux avec mon livreur en région parisienne (difficultés à prendre RV, absence de numéro suivi lors du changement entre transporteurs). Un paquet de vis a été perdu pendant le transport mais rien de grave s'agissant de pièces standards. Configuration & matériel : acheté en version acier galvanisé sur montage avec platines d'une terrasse de 45m² exposée au vent (nous avons cassés plusieurs parasols), il nous fallait du matériel solide qui puisse résister et dont les voiles puissent être démontées rapidement en cas de forts orages. - les poteaux, livrés en deux parties, sont aisément transportables par un adulte, ce qui est très pratique quand on habite en étage ;) - montage aisé ; j'ai cependant dû limer un des poteaux qui refusait de s'emboîter dans l'autre partie. - mes fixations étant murales sur support béton vibré , j'ai commandé la version platine. Contrairement aux vidéos fournies sur le site, j'ai utilisé des chevilles à expansion pour charges lourdes en 12mmx70mm. Prévoir 8 chevilles par poteau & le coût associé (les vidéos préconisent des tiges filetées à scellement chimique). Mise en place : - une fois les platines bien alignées, montage aisé des 4 poteaux. 4 positions disponibles en face avant, 2 positions libres en face arrière, chaque poteau est livré avec un œillet à visser qui n'est ni plus ni moins qu'un anneau de levage mâle de 8mm. J'ai donc complété certaines positions libres avec ces anneaux si le souhaite déplacer ma voile (en grande distri. bricolage à prix modique). - le système à double poulie a été disposé aux 4 poteaux. Il a été complété aux extrémité côtés voile par 4 mousquetons pour libérer rapidement la voile en cas de pluie ou vent (coût modique aussi). Le système de poulie reste ainsi en place sur le poteau lorsque la voile n'est pas présente. La double poulie fonctionne très bien, il est facile de tendre une voile même de grande taille et donc lourde. Pour ma part j'aurai souhaité qu'il y ait un peu plus de longueur de corde (1 à 2m de plus). - dispositif d'ensemble, rendu & usage : le rendu, toile montée, est très qualitatif. Le dispositif est robuste, les poteaux ne bougent pas en cas de vent et seront facilement démontables cet hiver. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent par rapport à la concurrence. Verified reviewIch wollte eine Sonnenschirmalternative und stolperte auf Amazon über diesen Sonnensegelmast. Optisch sehr ansprechend, in seiner Funktion des stufenlosen Höhenverstellens kinderleicht zu bedienen. Die Verankerung am Boden ist aus meiner Sicht einfacher als bei anderen Masten. Dieser hier muss nur mit vier ""Schrauben"" in einem bestehenden Betonboden verankert werden welche man bei guter Beratung günstig im Bauh... erhält. Darauf steckt man dann den Mast, er ist also auch bei Bedarf im Winter sicher zu verstauen. Im Grossen und Ganzen wirkt das Ganze gut durchdacht und vor allem stabil! Bei meinen Recherchen musste ich feststellen dass die schlichten Masten ohne Höhenverstellmöglichkeit und eigens dafür gedachte ""Bodenplatte"" oft bis zu 50-75cm tief in einem wiederum eigens dafür gegossenen Betonsockel versenkt werden müssen...und dann oft sogar noch teurer sind. Verified reviewIch habe ein Sonnensegel mit 4 Alu Simple Masten (2 gerade + 2 schräg) und einem 4x5m atmungsaktiven Segel gebaut. Das Material kam pünktlich (in Sardinien) an. Die Montage ist einfach (der längste Teil ist die Konstruktion der Sockel): ästhetisch sind sie sehr ansprechend. Sie sind auch sehr funktionell und die Möglichkeit, die Höhe des Segels leicht zu verstellen, ist hervorragend.
